In addition to providing a broad range of medical and surgical dermatologic services, Dr. Powell and aesthetician Helen Godfrey, offer a wide array of cosmetic treatments and services. Each treatment has been carefully selected to maximize patient safety while still providing measurable benefits for your skin.

Helen provides traditional aesthetic services including facials, and microdermabrasion. Helen is also certified and trained in the use of the Candela Gentlelase for laser hair removal, and the Candela Ellipse I2PL Intense Pulsed Light Machine for facial rejuvenation (Fotofacial) and the removal of “age spots” on the face, hands and arms.

Helen is trained evaluate your skin and to help you choose skincare products that will meet your individual needs. For your convenience the Obagi and Epionce line of skincare products are available in the office.

Dr. Powell is experienced in the use of Botox Cosmetic for the reduction of frown lines and crow’s feet, as well as, the use of injectable fillers such as Juvaderm, Radiesse and Restylane to restore volume and fill the deeper wrinkles of the face. Both are experienced with the removal of benign skin lesions including benign moles, sebaceous hyperplasia and benign vascular lesions.

Dr Powell’s training as a dermatologist included extensive training in the treatment of skin cancer; he is up to date with current scientific research, clinical diagnosis, histopathology, and the medical and surgical management of both common and rare forms of skin cancer. His surgical training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center included 8 months with Dr Ramsey Mellete an internationally recognized authority on the surgical management of skin cancer.

Surgical Removal of Benign Skin Lesions
Dr. Powell and Seth Permann, PA-C  are experienced with various techniques for the removal many types of benign skin lesions including benign moles, sebaceous hyperplasia, and vascular lesions.
